After much thought (actually a few month's worth), I have decided it's time to make a change in my life. And that means saying goodbye to WCNC and all of you.

Together, you and I have built something special: Consumer Connection. By teaming up, we've held businesses accountable, alerted the entire viewing audience to scams, consumer alerts, and cool new ways to get a bargain. Not to mention, when a company issued a critical recall, you heard it here first. I am excited that this segment will continue to grow even as I leave WCNC. The station's devotion to your cause is steadfast!

Thank you all for trusting me enough to share your stories and for inviting me into your homes. And also, thank you to WCNC... from winning a "Spot News" Emmy for reporting on a crippling ice storm, to covering all manner of breaking news, to launching "Consumer Connection," WCNC has given me the opportunity to grow as a journalist and a person.

This has been an amazing and rewarding journey.
