CIAA brings out trend-setters

The CIAA tournament is a hotbed of diversity and events. Other than the ten historically black colleges and universities that will be participating in the basketball games, there will be parties, step shows, cooking shows, prizes to win, and more.

The feel in uptown Charlotte is absolutely electric. As you walk or drive down Tryon Street or even see the new LYNX rail system, you can see the buzz. People from all over will be here to participate in the events. It is exciting that there will be so much to do on top of watching the basketball games.

Inside the arena I saw vendors and staff ready to get these events started. The vendors will be selling all different types of wares, from clothing to art to food to books to make-up and more. There is something for everyone to do and something for everyone to see, even if you are not a fan of basketball.

There is no doubt in my mind that the CIAA will bring Charlotte more and more help to the economy. People are eager to spend their money on whatever they fancy important or trendy. In fact, the trend-setters come to see the CIAA.

As you walk around Charlotte, expect to see people in their best dress. You do not actually have to go the fashion show to see a fashion show. The people of the CIAA are ready to break out the outfits that are not for everyday wear.

When it comes to the actual basketball games, be expecting some high-flying action. All of these schools are competitive and will not give up without a fight. Last year there were upsets and some really close games. The feeling of being at the game is like no other. Some professional sports games cannot compare to some of the hype that surrounds this tournament. Expect some of the best times of your life when you come to this tournament and its events. There should be no regret after this tournament ends, unless you did not participate.
