We launched Consumer Connection a little more than three months ago and we are off to quite a start!
We’ve been receiving your e-mails by the hundreds and reading every single one. Some of your great stories are now hitting the airwaves and together we are solving your problems.
Together, we’ve told stories like Toyota Camry’s that hesitate when you pull out into traffic, our nail salon investigation, exploding glass patio tables, and explored a “fabu” web site that will find the best fitting pair of jeans specific to your body! And I’m just getting started. If you missed some of these stories, click here and give me your feedback.
The success of Consumer Connection is very exciting and I want to thank you all for your enthusiasm, support and story ideas. This is rewarding work! And I love that we’re getting it done together!
This November, I have some super exciting stories coming your way and we kicked it off with our puppy investigation. We’ve been working nearly around the clock to get everything ready (you know the kind of tired you go to bed with and it’s still there when you wake up!). The puppy investigation is the heartbreaking story of a viewer and her puppy. Her e-mail to me on the Consumer Connection line led me to a big investigation into a local pet store. The confrontation that followed was so intense, police were called.
And Friday morning we had a Consumer Connection Alert about a furniture company in Cornelius. What would you expect if you paid $3700 for a leather sofa? What if you ended up with no sofa and no refund? Click here for details on one woman’s fight against a local furniture store and what it will take for her to get her money back!
Friday afternoon, we’re taking on the food supply. This story was inspired by all the food recalls we’ve seen in the past year. What if you could visit the very farm your food is grown on? We’ll show how to take a journey from fork to farm. That’s Friday at 5:15 p.m.!
Keep checking WCNC.COM/consumerconnection and I’ll keep you up to date on all the interesting stories we have coming up for you this month and who knows – you might even be in some of them!
Happy November!
