‘American Idol’ runner-up and UNC Charlotte grad Clay Aiken is apparently so angry about rumors of his sex life that he’s writing about it in his blog.

“It seems over the past few weeks, the tabloids and gossip mongers have had their hands full coming up with new and exciting ‘scandals’ for me to be a part of. Yet, for all of their efforts to be on the ‘cutting edge’ and the forefront of bull---- journalism, it seems that some of them may be running out of ideas and resorting to recycling and re-hashing some of their older tall tales,” MSNBC reports Aiken recently wrote on his blog. “With this in mind, we thought maybe we would try to give them a finger... er... a hand.”

The Raleigh native invites fans to “Build-Your-Own-Scandal.” He explains: “Come up with the most outlandish story you can that places me (either alone or with others close to me) in a really juicy, tawdry, scandalous, shameful story. Then, use any photos, videos, audio clips of me that you can find along with your favorite multimedia enhancing/‘doctoring’ program (like a Photoshop or a sound/video editor) to create your ‘evidence’! Maybe you have ‘pictures’ of me being ‘abducted by oversized turnips’ or ‘video’ of me ‘dancing with a three-legged gorilla.’ Be creative!”

If I were Clay Aiken I would try to just laugh their stupid remarks off all the way to the bank. And remember whe they are talking about you they (media) are giving someone else a break.

What the heck is wrong with this crazy bunch of reporters and editors who choose to create news instead of just reporting fact? I am beginning to feel like our whole society is being manipulated by so called "news media" who have no respect for truth or fact and who embelish, word or even create stories and rumors to serve their own purpose politically or monetarily. Are we, the public, so stupid that we will continue to listen to this crap? Lord help us! As for Clay Aiken - why not spend time praising his talents instead of trying to come up with "junk" or attacks on his character.

Clay Aiken has a wonderful voice and has been beat up by the media. People forget the work he does with children..the fact that he does something good with his life and is a great singer is forgotten by rude and ignorant people. This message to Clay Aiken.
