The Miami Herald is reporting that the Miami Dolphins might indirectly get in on the Brett Favre deal; the Dolphins are interested in acquiring quarterback Chad Pennington, who is sure to be released by the Jets to make way for Favre. The Dolphins would like a veteran to start while rookie Chad Henne prepares to be their starter of the future, and the 32-year-old Pennington could fit the bill. Plus, Miami vice president of football operations Bill Parcells has a history with Pennington -- Parcells had a similar role in the Jets organization when Pennington was drafted in 2000. |
