Cranston National Budlong wins first game in Eastern Regional Softball Tourney

The Cranston National Budlong Junior League softball team defeated Caroline County, Md., 5-4, in its first game of pool play in the Eastern Regional Tournament yesterday at Syracuse, N.Y. Cranston will play Harrington, Delaware at 1:30 p.m. today. Teams play four games under the pool-play format. The top four teams move on to the semifinals.
