Former Rhode Island Amateur and Open champion Mike Capone is coming back nicely from his injury problems. Fellow Rhode Islander Brett Quigley is not as fortunate. Capone, who missed eight months because of a herniated disc, has qualified for this week's Nationwide Tour event in Rochester. He recorded a 69 in Monday qualifying, tying for third. It will be Capone's third event since his return. He won his most recent start, taking the Nike Championship on the Golfers' Warehouse Tour last week at Crestwood. Barrington's Quigley originally was in the field for this week's PGA Tour Wyndham, Championship in Greensboro, N.C. However, Quigley, who has problems with a stress fracture in his leg, has withdrawn. Quigely is 112th on the FedEx Cup points list, meaning that he will qualify for the first round of the playoffs next week. Billy Andrade, Brad Adamonis and Patrick Sheehan all are entered in the Greensboro event.
