Benefit hockey tournament set for stricken Cumberland player

coyle0825.jpgTwo fundraisers have been planned to support the Jamie Coyle Fund, established through Citizens Bank to help raise money for 12-year-old Cumberland hockey player Jamie Coyle, who suffered a stroke while playing in a tournament on Aug. 9.

The first event is the Fight for Seven Tournament to be held Aug. 29-31. Open to youth, high school and adult teams, the tourney will be held at the Smithfield Ice Rink in Smithfield and the R.I. Sports Center in North Smithfield.

Also a "Rock n' Skate" will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sept. 6 at Adelard Arena in Woonsocket.
