Click the play button below to hear Sean's comments, recorded this morning. He discusses the Red Sox' streak of four straight quality starts, Jonathan Papelbon's unprecedented (in club history) third 30-save season, Clay Buchholz's search for consistency, and Manny Ramirez's hot streak at the plate. Here's what Sean had to say about Papelbon's milestone: "Even he seemed a little surprised when informed about it after the game [last night]. He sort of assumed that someone else had had three 30-save seasons somewhere in the Red Sox history, but that wasn't the case. And he's a guy that -- if he stays healthy, and that's always the big caveat -- you could see him picking up God knows how many 30-save seasons. He's a guy who embraces his -- he embraces anyone's -- significant place in the game, he's mindful of it. And I think he could be here for a long time." |
