Former Brown gymnast, Alicia Sacramone, was recently selected to compete on the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team in Beijing after the final selection camp at the Women's National Team Training Center in Huntsville, Texas.

Sacramone was Brown's top gymnast in 2006, and was named the ECAC Rookie of the Year. She set school records on the vault, floor and also in the all-around. She also became the first gymnast in Ivy League history to finish first on every event and win the all-around at the Ivy Classic, while also setting an Ivy Classic records in the all-around and tied the record on the vault.

Sacramone competed for the Brown gymnastics team while maintaining her position on the U.S. National team. After the 2007 Worlds, she made the Olympics her priority and turned professional, foregoing her NCAA eligibility.
