BOSTON -- Ray Allen returned from Boston's locker room with 6:00 left in the second quarter to a standing ovation. He left the game late in the first quarter after being poked in the left eye. He also suffered a cut on the bridge of his nose.

Boston didn't miss a beat without him. After a James Posey 3-pointer with 5:20 remaining in the first half, the Lakers led, 43-29. Los Angeles called a timeout and "Beat L.A." chants echoed throughout the TD Banknorth Garden.
