Miami's Brian Asbury aims to shoot over Providence's Geoff McDermott during the first half tonight.
San Juan - The University of Miami found its offense in the second half and out-lasted Providence College, 64-58, to win the Puerto Rico Tip-Off Sunday night.
Spurred by a big second half from Weyinmi Efejuku, the Friars and Hurricanes exchanged leads through much of the second half but a Jack McClinton 3-pointer and followed by a James Dews 3-point play gave UM a 59-53 lead with 1:30 to play. The Canes hung on the rest of the way to improve to 4-0 on the season.
PC, which fell to 2-1, was led by Efejuku's 21 points and 17 from Dwain Williams.
