Brown easily wins hoops opener
The Brown Bears men's hoops team got off to an impressive start, crushing the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 74-55, today in Ypsilanti, Mich.
Damon Huffman led the Bears with 24 points, while Barrington High grad Mark McAndrew scored 22.
It was Brown's first win in a season-opening game since 2001. Brown broke the game open with a 27-4 run to close out the first half, giving the team a 45-28 halftime lead.
