CVS apologizes for accidental detour of 5K runners

Many runners in the second wave of yesterday's CVS Downtown/5K ended up running nearly a half-mile extra after runners at the front of the wave made a wrong turn and many others followed. Race officials said the start of the second wave was delayed too long, and the runners at the front lost sight of those at the back of the first wave.
