College soccer: Brown 1, URI 0

PROVIDENCE -- Dylan Sheehan scored the game’s only goal as Brown, the 21st-ranked college soccer team in the country, defeated the University of Rhode Island, 1-0, Sunday at Stevenson Field. Sheehan scored at 59:59, heading in a kick from Darren Howerton. Brown goalie Jarrett Leech recorded his first shutout of the season for the Bears, who are now 4-0 this season. URI fell to 1-4.
