Patriots make a change at punter
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The New England Patriots have signed veteran punter Chris Hanson and released first-year punter Danny Baugher.
Hanson, 30, has 428 career punts for 18,347 yards with the Green Bay Packers and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has averaged 42.9 yards per punt.
He was released earlier this week by the New Orleans Saints.
Baugher, 22, was signed to the Patriots’ practice squad in October, then assigned to NFL Europa after the season. He punted 47 times, averaging 43.4 yards per punt, for the Rhein Fire.
