Cranston Western drops Little League opener
The Cranston Western Little League team lost to the Massachusetts State Champion, Walpole, 11-1, yesterday in the first game of pool play at the New England Regional Tournament in Bristol, Conn. Konner Gershkoff scored Cranston Western’s only run in the first inning on a double steal. Cranston Western is off today but returns to action tomorrow night when it plays Portsmouth, N.H., at 8 o’clock.
