Brett Quigley to have knee surgery; more from the Deutsche Bank Championship
Barrington's Brett Quigley is going to have knee surgery soon. Quigly reported today, while preparing for the Deutsche Bank Championship at the TPC Boston in Norton, Mass., that the surgery could come as early as next week.
"To be honest, my knee's been hurting since February. I just found out [two weeks ago] that I've got a complex tear in my right knee in the medial meniscus."
He plans to play this week and have surgery whenever he is eliminated from the FedEx cup playoffs.
In other news, the pairings for the first round have been announced, and three of the biggest stars in golf will be in the same threesome. Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh will golf together beginning at 1:07 Friday afternoon from the first tee. Click here to see the full first-round pairings.
Paul Kenyon will have much more from the Deutsche Bank Championship practice round tomorrow in The Journal and on our projo.com golf page.
