Pawtucket beats Ottawa, 9-4
PAWTUCKET – A strong performance from lefty Jon Lester (4-5) and some late-inning heroics led to a 9-4 victory for the Pawtucket Red Sox over the Ottawa Lynx last night at McCoy Stadium.
Lester pitched seven strong innings, scattering seven hits and allowing three runs with three strikeouts to earn the win.
With the score tied 3-3 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, Pawtucket scored six runs on five hits to break the game open. David Murphy highlighted the inning with a three-run home run.
