Red Wings 6, PawSox 2
The Rochester Red Wings scored six runs in the eighth inning to beat the Pawtucket Red Sox, 6-2, Friday night at McCoy Stadium.
Scott Baker pitched a two-hitter through 8.2 innings and didn't allow a run with eight strikeouts and no walks. At one point, Baker retired 17 consecutive hitters.The two hits came off the bat of Pawtucket's Brandon Moss.
PawSox starter David Pauley threw six shutout innings and struck out a season-high nine batters. Reliever Bryan Corey gave up 2 runs in the eighth to fall to 0-2.
