Jim Donaldson at the Masters: Quigley on the course
AUGUSTA, Ga. _ Brett Quigley teed off this morning at 10:11 for the final round of his first Masters. He is paired with Angel Cabrera of Argentina.
Quigley certainly has experienced the international flavor of the tournament _ he has yet to play a round with another American. On the first two days, he was paired with Vijay Singh of Fiji and Hideto Tanihara of Japan. Yesterday, he played with Sandy Lyle of Scotland. Singh (2000) and Lyle (1988) are former Masters champions.
Brad Faxon has played in 12 Masters and made the cut in 11 of them. His best finish was a tie for ninth in 1992. He tied for 10th in 2001, 12th in '02, 15th in '94, and 17th in '95. He last played at Augusta in 1994, when he finished tied for 31st.
Billy Andrade has played in six Masters, including once as an amateur, in 1987, when he qualified as a member of the Walker Cup team and stayed in the ``Crow's Nest'' _ the dormitory in the cupola atop the clubhouse at Augusta National. He has made the cut three times, with his best finish a tie for 38th in 1999. His last Masters appearance was in 2002, when he missed the cut.
