Jim Donaldson at the Masters: Off to watch Quigley
AUGUSTA, Ga. _ Off to spend the next five hours admiring the dogwoods and azaleas and worshipping in the ``cathedral of pines'' that leads to ``Amen Corner.''
Brett Quigley starts his second round at 10:25, and I'll be following him around.
For what it's worth, as my esteemed colleague ``Bunky'' Reynolds likes to say, after yesterday's round, Vijay Singh flatly, tersely, brusquely, and, quite frankly, impolitely, refused to speak with reporters gathered behind the 18th green. In contrast, Quigley, who had just shot 4-over, compared to playing partner Singh's 1-over, could not have been more pleasant, congenial, and accommodating, spending 15 or 20 minutes talking about all that has happened to him this week _ the birth of his first child and playing in his first Masters.
