Matsuzaka, Ramirez to debut Friday
Friday will not only mark the Red Sox debut of highly touted and high-priced pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka, but also the spring debut of another high-profile player -- Manny Ramirez.
Ramirez, who reported to camp last Monday, almost a week after the rest of the team, will start in tomorrow afternoon’s game at home against Toronto in the day-night Boston action. He’ll have one or two at-bats.
Tomorrow night, of course, Matsuzaka will be the focal point when the Red Sox play host to Boston College.
