Celts defeat T'Wolves for fourth straight win
Delonte West scored all 31 of his points after halftime, Paul Pierce added 27 points and the Boston Celtics beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-117 in double overtime Sunday for their fourth straight win.
Al Jefferson had 20 points and 14 rebounds, and reserve Ryan Gomes added 21 points and 17 boards for the Celtics, who outscored Minnesota 17-10 in the second overtime to win their second overtime game in two days. Boston beat New Jersey 96-88 in overtime Saturday.
Kevin Garnett led Minnesota with 33 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. It was his third triple-double of the season and 19th of his career. Ricky Davis scored 35 and Troy Hudson added 26 for the Timberwolves, who have lost six of seven.
After missing his only two field-goal attempts in the first half, West went 8-of-11 the rest of the way to set a career high for points. West combined for 16 points in the third and fourth quarters before scoring 15 more in the two overtimes.
