Volunteers Needed for Upcoming Amica Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island

Providence, RI - Volunteers are still needed to assist with a variety of tasks for the inaugural Amica Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island on July 12-13. The Amica Ironman 70.3 (www.ironmanrhodeisland) consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run and will utilize a variety of the state's scenic areas. The swim will be held at Roger Wheeler State Beach in Narragansett. Following the swim, athletes will ride North on Rte. 1A into North Kingstown before turning West to Rte. 102. The bike course encompasses Exeter, West Greenwich, Coventry, Scituate and Johnston. The bike route finishes at the State Capitol and transitions to the run course through the East Side of Providence.

To date, over 1,000 volunteers have signed up to assist in the Amica Ironman 70.3. Additional volunteers are needed on both Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13.
