Race organizers of a new 5K to benefit the penguins at Mystic Aquarium pass along these details: A RACE THAT REALLY IS FOR THE BIRDS! MYSTIC, CT – Lace up your sneakers and get those “happy feet” ready to run or walk! Participants will get FREE admission into the Aquarium on Race Day. Have some fun, get some exercise and support a great cause. We’ve planned a fun trail and road course and there is a separate ¼ mile kid’s race. Visit www.mysticaquarium.org to get your entry form and find out more details about the run/walk for the penguins. Entry fee: $20 on or before October 1, 2007 or $25 day of the race. Children are $10 (age 3-12). Raise $50 or more in pledges and waive the registration fee. You’ll also receive a free race T-shirt. WHAT: Penguin 5k (run or fun walk) Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration is a division of Sea Research Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit institution. The Foundation’s mission is to inspire people everywhere to care about and protect our oceans by exploring and sharing their biological, ecological, and cultural treasures.
