The man behind the marathon
Stay tuned. Danny Gough will soon be providing weeks 15 and 16 of his Breakers Marathon ``Get Out There!'' training program.

In the meantime, I thought you might like to learn a little bit more about the man who hopes to get you across the finish line at his Oct. 21 race:
Gough was an NCAA All-American and All-Ivy runner at Brown University in the late 1980s and early '90s, competing for both the cross country and track teams there and later serving on the Bears coaching staff.
He has run professionally, representing Nike, Reebok and Adidas at different times over the past 15 years.
He has 10 marathons to his credit, turning in several 2:18 performances and qualifying for the 2000 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials with a 2:18:56 effort at the 1999 Scranton Steamtown Marathon.
In addition to winning last year's Breakers Marathon in 2:47, Gough has won the Cape Cod Marathon and the Nantucket Marathon.
A native of Cape May, N.J., he now lives with his wife, Rebecca, and their 7-year-old daughter Summer on Aquidneck Island where the Goughs co-own Bridge to Fitness http://bridgetofitness.com/ gym with Michael and Lisa Cecchi.
