Buddy's in the news again.

But this time, he's featured in a national magazine. Governing, which distributes news on state and local politics to an estimated 275,000 readers each month, featured a cover story on public corruption in its July issue.

No, Providence's infamous former mayor is not featured on the cover. That's saved for Don Siegelman, the former Alabama governor sent to prison last year on corruption charges.

But a separate story is titled, "No matter what he does, it's still Buddy's town."

"Buddy Cianci is proving that you can go home again. And again," the short story starts, before explaining that Cianci has been the dominant figure in Providence politics for more than three decades, even with a stint in a federal penitentiary.

Among the people quoted in the story: The Journal's investigative reporter Mike Stanton, former Brown Prof. Darrell West and former Providence Mayor Joseph Paolino Jr., who said, "You may like him or you may dislike him, but he's part of the fabric of Providence."

Good, I am glad Buddy is back.....and hope to hell he can get rid of Dean Esserman and the current Mayor....they have done NOTHING to help Providence except to make it a santuary city. What ever Buddy can do behind the microphone or in front of a camera to clean up the city of Providence let him go for it......
