U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, a Rhode Island Democrat, will face several challengers for his congressional seat heading into election season, according to candidate filings. Christopher Young, of 184 Angell St., Providence, has filed a declaration to run as a Democrat, according to the Secretary of State's office. Vernon D. Craig, of Newport, also filed a declaration of candidacy to run as a Democrat. Republican Robert Tingle, of Westerly, filed as a Republican to run against Reed.
