Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's campaign said it will start airing televising and radio advertisements in Spanish in Rhode Island today. A 30-second television ad title “Como Padre,” or “Like My Father,” talks about "Obama's plans to help families with the costs of health care and education," the campaign said in a news release. A 60-second radio ad, “Obama Me Está Hablando a Mí,” or “Obama is Speaking to Me,” seeks to show Obama's "commitment to providing affordable health care and education for all Americans." The campaign also began airing a new English-language ad called “Need,” which focuses on Obama's "commitment to standing up for the middle class and ending corporate loopholes," the campaign said. -- projo.com staff writer Michael P.
