It might be a nice idea if the Governor began his cuts closer to home. How much is the state paying to provide the Governor a driver. Many governors in larger states than R.I. drive themselves.

Does anyone know how much it cost to house inmates at the ACI, well enough to 40,000 per inmate a year, granted with many of the convicts off the streets, makes for a safer state,but innocent people are paying for their mistakes,we are loosing out, not the prisoners, they live free,3 square meals a day,free medical and hospital stays, and some even get paid to work. how about releasing some of the nonviolent offenders, or the ones less likey to commit a crime again, how about trade shops, so they can learn trades, how about parole with shorter release dates, or how about taking a chance by releasing some on good faith. has anyone ever did the math 40,000 per inmate a year, thats where all the tax payer dollars are going, we may think where safe and protected, but where paying for it, literally! No-one is mentioning this, we need to speak up for ourselves.
