Maybe people are finally catching on about cats. They're not cuddly little pets, after all. They're vicious killers. In Boulder, Colo., a city official is advocating an ordinance that would require cat owners to keep their pets indoors so they don't kill birds and other animals. Check out the statistics. According to the American Bird Conservancy, house cats kill an estimated hundreds of millions of birds and more than 1 billion squirrels, rabbits and small mammals annually. And they make me sneeze. I say the world would be a better place if we locked cats in houses, and muzzled and declawed them, too. The only drawback to such an ordinance. Indoor cats live longer. -- projo.com staff writer Jack Perry CommentsLeave a comment |
