Look at the arms on the guy in this picture. That's Russian President Vladimir Putin fishing in Siberia.
Sure, it looks like he's sucking in his gut and flexing a little bit for the camera, but what guy over the age of 30 doesn't do that? Putin is 54, after all.
Putin has made international news recently in flexing Russia's military muscle, but photographs of a shirtless Putin flexing his own muscles for the cameras during a recent vacation spawned plenty of buzz in Russia.
What is it with these foreign presidents? Can't they keep their shirts on? Earlier this
month, a shirtless French president Nicolas Sarkozy, vacationing in New Hampshire,
jumped onto a boat carrying two photographers and berated them.
But the big question here is this: What will President Bush do to answer Putin's muscle flexing? We've seen plenty of photos of Bush and his father fishing. Fortunately, both our president and his 83-year-old father have, at least until now, kept their shirts on.
How far will the former Yale cheerleader go to prove he's as macho as the former KGB agent? Will the pics of Putin's pecs prompt Bush to strip off his shirt and wrestle Ted Kennedy on the White House lawn, or worse, invade a small country?

Well, there are cultural differences behind all this. when visiting russia last summer, I have noticed most of my male friends and friends husbands not only fish shirtless... While at home, they spend 99% of the time being shirtless. In the summer, its really nothing rare to see shirtless men on the street, especially when they are doing physical work such as this.
