Anyone interested in history should definitely make at least one trip to Gettysburg. The state monuments are beautiful and the entire experience is overwhelming. That so many of our countrymen died fighting each other is something not soon forgotten once one has been there.

It is very worth while to go early in July, there is always a re-enactment of the battle. These are largest every 5th year, this is one of thoise.
