Debra E. DiSegna smiles after being sworn in as the newest Family Court judge by Governor Carcieri this afternoon at the State House. DiSegna, who has been a Family Court magistrate since 1989, replaces Family Court Associate Judge Pamela M. Macktaz. She was one of three new judges confirmed by the state Senate in May.

Great decision. She will be a wonderful judge and the state deserves good people like her on the bench.

I have appeared before Magistrate(now Judge) DiSegna when my wife and I were ahving problems in the '90's anearly 2000's. SHe is an extremely fair and compassionate person on the bench. Congratulations to her and good luck in the future.
