It's another record: Gas prices jump 10 cents -- again

For the second week in a row, gas prices in Rhode Island increased another 10 cents per gallon, according to AAA Southern New England.

And it's yet another week of breaking the record for highest gas prices ever.

This time, te average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline is $3.809 at the self-service pump, according to AAA’s weekly survey.

The price has increased 67 cents since the start of the year. Rhode Island is one cent above the national average.

To combat the rising price of home heating and gas for the car, I've cut back in numerous other areas, including dropping the digital TV package that included tons of channels I NEVER watched and switching to basic cable; swtiching from high-speed internet to regular speed (there is really no difference on my computer; taking the bus to work (and thereby saving on car insurance); canceling my agreement with Tru-Green Chemlawn (I can do a better job and save money by fertilizing the lawn myself); shopping at Job Lot or Building 19 for greeting cards (only 50C each instead of $4.99 at CVS); buying odds and ends at the Dollar Store; and planting my own garden to grow vegetables. Every little bit helps!

THE GAS PRICE HAS TAKEN AWAY OUR LIVES AND PLEASURE WHEN CAN WE LIVE AGAIN? I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO OUR PRESIDENT FOR DOING THIS, AND WE PAID YOU FOR THIS ACT.

To Geraldine. I am sure that you are angry at President Bush for many things, however, the price of fuel should not be one of them. There are many causes of the recent price rise, but Presidential actions are not one of them. If he could affect the price of oil, he would certainly work to lower it, given his current unpopularity.

Higher fuel prices are partly caused by poor support for the dollar.

The other part is 2 third world countries with HUGE populations becoming industrialized nations.

I have been testing fuel saving products for years, and had not found anything that gave consistent results until now.

Go to the results I posted here. http://www.OurFuelSaver.com These results are incredible.

one vehicle in this test has gone from 13.3 mpg to 17.9 mpg. That is over 30% increase.
