Hundreds rally against crackdown on illegal immigration

PROVIDENCE -- About 400 people are at an immigration rally outside the State House late this afternoon, asking that state lawmakers not support Governor Carcieri's executive order cracking down on illegal immigration.

People chanted, in English and Spanish, "The people united will never be defeated."

Speakers rallying the crowd shouted messages.

Thousands of chanting, flag-waving immigrants and activists rallied in cities across the country today, attempting to reinvigorate calls for immigration reform in a presidential election year in which the economy has taken center stage.

"The people united will never be defeated."

That is true. Americans will stick together till each and every ILLEGAL ALIENS is out of this Country and back in their own country.

Hang in there Governor Carcieri! I'm proud of you! Tell the ILLEGAL ALIENS this...

To enter this Country is a privilege. IT IS NOT A RIGHT! No ILLEGAL ALIEN has the right to be in this Country.

You gotta love these people who go to rallies to scream and yell while the people who have to pay for their nonsense are all at work. Screw 'em.

When will americans understand that scarying people off is not the best idea in times of recession. They dont want ilegals in the school system so that means less kids, less money from the federal government. When they move out they take theyr hard earned money with then. Go to East Providence and take a look at all the ethinic stores that have closed for not having customers, and ask the city hall where all the money originally from those tax payers will come.
Be real this is not a matter of illegality, its a matter of survival to all, americans included.

OMG...So it's okay to tear families apart? Some of these people have lived in this country for years, have families, and are hard working individuals.
Instead of sending all of the illegal aliens out of the country and back to there homelands, try to work something out to help them become citizens...that is of course if they have no criminal records.
They are human beings too...just give then a chance.
God loves all of His children equally.

Illegal is Illegal. You are breaking the law. You should not, I repeat, NOT be in this country!!!!
You do not have any rights!!! Anyone who says different should read what ILLEGAL means.

"Illegal", "undocumented" translates to you have broken the laws of this country. Illegal aliens are already sending their money to their home country, if they are deported maybe the youth (legal citizens) can find summer jobs for a change. If you are here illegally , YOU DON'T HAVE ANY RIGHTS except to admit you are wrong and start the process to make it legal for you to be here.
