Update: Firefighters battling Bristol-Warren brush fire
Firefighters are battling a fast-moving brush fire on the Bristol-Warren border that is sending up a black smoke plume visible from two towns away.
The fire, near the North Farm condominiums and Hanley Village off Hope Street, appears to have been spreading south but there were no reports of any buildings being affected.
The East Bay Bike Path running through the area has been blocked off. The flames are closer to the waterfront.
Winds are coming from the north/northeast at about 15 miles an hour, under clear skies, low humidity, and visibility up to 10 miles today.
