Carcieri going on CNN tonight to talk about immigration

Governor Carcieri will be a guest on Lou Dobbs' program on CNN tonight to talk about his order cracking down on illegal immigration.

"Governor Carcieri’s brief appearance is slated for about 7:40 p.m. according to CNN producers," the governor's office said in a news release this afternoon.

The CNN Web site highlighting Dobbs' program says, under the header Broken Borders:
"And we'll be joined by Rhode Island Governor Donald Carcieri who is cracking down on illegal immigration in his state. His new executive order calls for state agencies and the companies they do business with to verify the legal status of their workers."

The governor's order has provoked controversy, with members of the state's clergy calling for him to reconsider it and advocates for immigrants denouncing it. And a Hispanic leader broke ties with the state Republican Party yesterday.

Please listen to Gov. Carcieri for he knows what he is talking about, especially when it comes to the economics of the state of R. I.

I'm very proud of Governor Carcieri. I would like to see all 50 States step up to the plate and do what the Federal Government can not do.
The Federal Government has just left this ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION get out of hand, and the problems it has caused, well, has just been overwhelming. These problems WILL NOT go away until each and every ILLEGAL ALIEN is out of this Country and back in their own country.

STAND TALL Governor Carcieri. You make America proud!

Way to go, Governor Carcieri!! Finally, a public official makes me proud to say that I come from Rhode Island!! And the city councilman who led a protest at the State House -- he should be publicly removed from office for thumbing his nose at the laws of the United States of America!! Shame on those who illegally and criminally suck resources from our taxpayer-funded government and then shamelessly proclaim in another language their "rights" to our hospitality while protesting the reiteration and enforcement of existing laws!! How do you people sleep at night?!
