You can get involved with the monthly community singing session that organizer Jodi Glass calls “bringing together people of different cultures, generations, genders and musical experience in order to learn from each other and have a good time making music.” The event is free and experience is not required. Thank you, thank you, Providence Journal, for not caving to the idiotic and rampant use of the abbreviation "mic" for microphone. "Mike" has always been correct, not to mention phonetically consistent. Keep the faith.
