Higgins. In December, Benjamin Geldmaker was fined $500 and ordered to undergo substance abuse treatment. It was the second time that the then-18-year-old had been arrested for misdemeanor underage alcohol possession, according to Barrington police. Higgins ordered Geldmaker to return today to District Court to make sure Geldmaker has been going to substance abuse treatment. According to prosecutors, Geldmaker bought a 30-pack of beer, and gave six cans to a friend. The friend brought the beer to a party. Four teenagers that were at the party got into a car, the 16-year-old driver -- who was allegedly driving more than twice the speed limit -- slammed into a tree, killing 16-year-old passenger Jonathan Converse. leave these kids alone, this one especially, is NOT a murderer. Im not friends or enemies with greenberg but geldmaker should not be in the same breath as him. The fact is ones being charged with felony 2nd degree murder and the other is with a misdemeanor possesion charge. People need to get a grip, you just put him in the news and attack him because he speaks his mind and what most people dont have the balls to say
