Robert E. Payette, 45, of 19 Maple Avenue in West Warwick, waits in a Kent County District courtroom following his arraignment on murder charges today. Payette is accused of stabbing Ronald Dufour, 66, Saturday evening during an argument about a small debt, according to the Rhode Island State Police. Dufour’s body was found Sunday night in the bottom of a ravine leading to the Pawtuxet River behind the River Run apartments, where Payette lives.

Well, I think that goes to show the lack of tolerance we all live in this great country of ours. We have lost the good traditional values that has made this country so great and a model for many countries to follow.

What a shame that Rhode Island doesn't have a death penalty for animals like this guy. Perhaps if our legislators were more concerned protecting Rhode Island taxpayers rather than rich CEOs from CVS , Blue Cross, or Roger WIlliams Hospital we would have justice for victims of violence.

To the second poster, people do not act like animals. Animals are the greatest thing the earth has ever known. Society on the other hand has become greedy and more self absorbed then ever. He looks like a desperate man.

If RI had a three strikes law, this permanent threat to the rest of society would be in jail forever.
