The League, which has no formal position or policy recommendation regarding immigration, says that's because there are still too many questions. At a forum tomorrow at Rhode Island College, the group will try to get a hold on the different aspects of immigration with help from speakers on health care, history, the economy, education and public policy. The forum, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be held at RIC’s Gaige Auditorium, 600 Mt. Pleasant Ave. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students. Speakers will include RIC Professor Chester W. Smolski; Providence Schools Superintendent Donald W. Evans; Deputy Director Catherine B. Walsh, RI Kids Count; John Uvin, director of the Rhode Island Division of Adult Education; and William Shuey, director of the International Institute of Rhode Island.
