On the Immigrant story, is there something new here to report? It seems that Karen Ziner has it in for these Immigration guys even though it appears that they did nothing wrong. What gives? Why do the editors at the Projo allow this reporter to write such biased Immigration stories constantly without any balance?

My question is why is it the Woonsocket Police or ICE's fault that this guy was arrested for driving the wrong way on a busy one way street. If this guy had killed someone while driving the wrong way would Randy Olen be standing up for those victims? Would Irene Araujo be helping those families? Would this businessman Fernandes be running around talking then? I think not. Why did Araujo leave his house without his medicine? Why didn't Araujo leave when he was ordered to by the Immigration people? It's unfortunate the man died, but people forget he was driving without a license up the wrong way on a busy one way street in a place where he could have killed innocents. Leave Woonsocket PD alone and don't blame ICE for a man who died because he wasn't taking his medicine!

After reading the article, it seems to me that the Immigration authorities did nothing wrong, even calling 911 three times in an effort to save his life. Instead of vilifying the Immigration Authorities, they should be commended for doing everything in their power to save Mr. Araujo.

What if this guy had been released and later committed a heinous crime? Who would the Projo be complaining about then?

Why is the title "Traffic stop to Fatality" why not "ICE KILLERS" because that is what it seems the reporter is leading to. Was this an unfortunate accident? If he was here legally would the outcome be the same? Why was his medication not taken in the am? If he was here legally would a law enforcement officer at any US station take medication from somebody walking in off the street to give to a prisoner (legal or not)? Question to the reporter - should we run to all the jails in the UNITED STATES and release all ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS? I'm surprised the journal lets a reporter write articles she has such strong beliefs on that it gets in her way of reporting.

Where is the immigrant from the title of this article? The article details the last moments of an illegal alien who had been ordered deported, not an Immigrant. Immigrants are lawfully admitted to the US, they don't sneak in.
