The Friars closed the first half with a 24-12 run over the final 12 minutes to take a 37-25 lead at the break.
Geoff McDermott has 12 points and 9 boards at the half.
PC led 25-13 at one point but some defensive breakdowns let Maine crawl back into the game a bit. PC switched a lot of zone defense over the final 8 minutes of the half.
