Spring news flash: Leaves in Providence!
Spotted at 8:47 a.m. this morning, fingertip-size leaves on a crabapple in my neighborhood.
Other trees displayed buds that look like they just need a couple of warm days to finish opening, which they’ll get this week with daytime temperatures estimated to be in the 50s.
By the end of the month (I used to time it by an old boyfriend’s birthday in the third week in April) there should be little leaves on most of the trees in the city.
Take a walk and look for leaves in your neighborhood. You might be surprised what's up!

Rhubarb has been coming up in my garden for the last week or so.
