The Ohio Lottery said it wants to replace GTECH, the Providence-based vendor that has operated the lottery’s gaming system since 1985. The lottery said that it wants Intralot to replace GTECH Corp. in July 2009. The contract will go before a state panel next month for final approval. The contract could last up to 10 years and has an estimated worth of $170 million. Intralot is based in Athens, Greece, and its U.S. headquarters is in Atlanta. GTECH is part of Lottomatica SpA, the operator of Italy’s national lottery. |
