Postgame: Ellsbury 'not too bad' after first game back »
June 10, 2008
BOSTON -- On a night when his former Indians teammate Eddie Murray was at Fenway Park to honor him for passing the 500-homer plateau, Ramirez moved past Murray into 22nd place on the all-time home-run list when he hit No. 505 in the fifth inning last night.
The homer gave the Red Sox a 6-4 lead over the Orioles.
Ramirez' shot came moments after J.D. Drew had put the Sox ahead, 5-4, with a two-run home run of his own.
