Timlin Progressing

Veteran reliever Mike Timlin, who threw one inning for Pawtucket on Monday night, will throw another inning for the PawSox tomorrow night.

If all goes well, the right-hander is likely to be taken off the disabled list and added to the roster Friday, in time for the three-game weekend series with the New York Yankees at Fenway Park.

His presence as well as his aggressiveness should help the beleaguered Boston bullpen, said manager Terry Francona.

"Just the way he throws strikes in any situation he comes into will make everyone better," said Francona.
