Carl Crawford steals second under the tag of Boston second baseman Dustin Pedroia during the first inning at Fenway Park. Crawford didn't score, but Tampa Bay did jump out to a big early lead against starter Daisuke Matsuzaka. The game is now 6-3 Devil Rays, in the eighth inning.

I can't believe the bad luck Daisuke's had this season. He wasn't great today but he didn't pitch as badly as his line would indicate. There were a few bloop singles just over the infield and a couple infield singles that made things look a lot worse than they were. And this wasn't the first time Daisuke's had bad luck either.
The majority of his losses on the season qualified as a quality start (at least 6 innings pitched while allowing three earned runs or less). Over those five losses, he has an ERA of 3.07. He's also received two no decisions in games which he lasted seven innings or more while allowing a single run.
